Wine Course – Beginners and Advanced

A very quick email to let you know we have finalised the details for both the Beginners and Advanced Wine Courses. The Beginners starts on Thursday October 23rd and has 4 weeks in Red Nose Wine followed by a Wine Dinner ( with accompanying wines ) on November 13th. The cost is €110 including the course, all the wines tasted at the course, the dinner and also the tasting wines on the night of the dinner.

The Advanced course is for people who have already been on the beginners course and will involve 2 classes / tastings in Red Nose Wine, including an Italian Masterclass with an Italian importer. There is a real treat on the final week as we will have a wine dinner with one of Ireland’s foremost wine educators, Mary Gaynor. We will be opening some serious wines, and Mary is a wonderful speaker so this should be a great event. There may be limited spaces at the dinner for those who are not on the course. The price will be €50 for the stand alone dinner and €110 for the course and the dinner. The course will be on Wednesday November 5th and 12th followed by the dinner on the 20th.

We already have a list of people who are interested in both courses, but your place will only be secured by paying the fee in advance. ( We have to insist on this as people have let us down in the past, and we have refused genuine people ).

As always, we put the money into the wine.

Both dinners offer something very different. The beginners will get to put into practice what they have been learning and a great social night will hopefully be enjoyed by all. The advanced class will enjoy Mary Gaynor immensely – she guided me through my advanced exams and she is one of the best in the business. I’ll try to persuade her to bring something special from her extensive cellar.
