Pale gold in colour this Chardonnay is elegant and full of charm, with good minerality, citrus notes and hints of savoury grilled almond and white flower.

A delicate wine with a lovely opulent texture.With a natural minerality, this wine is a good partner to noble crustaceans as well as cooked fattened goose liver. It also goes well with veal or poultry in cream sauce.


The Vineyard

Soil - Fossiliferous limestone, hard fossil corals

Location - Mâconnais

Vineyards - 25 to 30 years old – 10 000 vines per hectare –Yield of 50 Hl per hectare

Harvest - Manual harvest

Vinification - Traditional vinification. Harvest is pressed immediatly and sent in stainless steel vats for fermentation.

Ageing - No oak ageing

Critics

Vines, ranging between 25 and 30 years old, are grown on limestone soils rich in ancient hard fossil corals. After manual harvesting the grapes are pressed immediately and fermented in stainless steel tanks with no oak ageing. 

Pouilly-Fuissé is the best-known part of Mâconnais. Pouilly and Fuissé are two distinct villages in the Mâconnais. The area covers four villages producing excellent white wine from Chardonnay sold under the name of Pouilly Fuissé.
