Condesa de Sarabella Garnacha 2010
An intense and exuberant old vine Garnacha, produced joven (young) style to accentuate fruit ripeness and freshness.
Dry, with expressive raspberry fruit, silky soft tannins and a smooth, peppery finish, this wines pairs very well with full flavoured meat dishes such as lamb and game.
Condesa de Sarabella is located near Villarroya de la Sierra, a little village with a rich history and large tradition in cultivating vineyards, in the centre of D.O. Calatayud.
The winery has invested recently in new stainless steel tanks, new presses and a new bottling line to ensure the intense fruit and terroir of the vineyards is captured in all their wines.
80% of the vines are more than 50 years old, with some over 100 years old, and are located between 650 and 850 metres on the hills around Calatayud. All vines are worked by hand during the warm, dry summers and hand-picked at the start of the cooling autumn.
