Grand Bateau Blanc 2007

While a typical Bordeaux blend, the ripe fruit and the buttery vanilla from the new oak in the white lift it above its contemporaries. Aromatic to the nose with notes of buttery-vanillin oak flavours and exotic fruit. On the palate, the wine is powerful and fleshy with very pleasant exotic fruit flavours. Very nice balance between the oak, fruit and acidity. Excellent finish.
