Malbec Familia Casone Siete Cuchilo
This is 100% Malbec from the Lujan de Cuyo region in Mendoza, Argentina. Surrounded by the Andes range landscape with the majestic Aconcagua Mountain on the background, Familia Cassone holds three vineyards states southwest of Mendoza city. The two centennial ones are located in the Lujan de Cuyo area, considered as one of the best wine regions in Argentina. Each of them has 14 hectares planted with non-grafted vines.
Along with a 1 5 years old vineyard of 45 hectares located in Agrelo, these small pieces of land provides and assures high quality grapes to achieve well define personality wine.
"Siete Cuchillos" translates as "seven knives" named after a native bird which inhabits the northern province of Mendoza. It apparently has a kickass singing voice which attracts every bird within earshot. Well, well-named Cassone family because you bottled a wine that has created its own word-of-mouth pretty fast.
