Deep and intense red colour. The nose is complex, with aromas of prunes and dried fruits with notes of toasted wood and vanilla. The most glorious black fruit flavours roll onto the palate, with layers of character from the time spent in oak. Rounded with sweet tannins, this wine has the poise and power to make for a true great. For best results, decant for 24 hours.

Enjoy with robust pasta dishes, red meat or cheese.

Millantu means 'Golden Sun' in Mapudungun, the language of the brave native Chileans. This premium red blend has been created in their honour.

The wine consists of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Cabernet Franc and 18% Carménère, which have been aged in French oak for 18-24 months, with a further 12 months in bottle before release to market.

The Vineyard

Santa Alicia have been producing wines in the heart of Maipo Valley since 1954. With grapes from three select communes, a state of the art winery, and judicious use of the finest American and French oak barrels, we believe the wines represent the highest price/quality ratio in Chile.

In 2007, they were named Chilean Wine Producer of the Year for "best overall results from a Chilean winery" in the prestigious International Wine & Spirit Competition in London.

Cabernet Sauvignon 48%, Cabernet Franc 34%, Carménère 18%.
