Sales Information
Perfumed, soft and round with gentle bubbles and fruity, succulent flavours of pear, honeydew melon, honeysuckle and apple. Like all Proseccos, Sior Nani is tank-fermented (Charmat method) and made from mainly Glera (min. 85%), the balance comprising Verdiso, Bianchetta Trevigiana, Perera, Glera Lunga, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Noir.
The Vineyard
Prosecco is a wildly-popular bubbly wine from north-eastern Italy - Veneto and Friuli, specifically. Previously, the grape behind the wine was called "Prosecco," and so Prosecco could theoretically be made anywhere in the world; but since 2009 the name 'Prosecco' has been legally protected, and now any bottle bearing it has to come from this strictly-defined part of Italy.

The Prosecco appellation actually includes three styles of wine: still Prosecco (rarely seen outside Italy) lightly sparkling Prosecco (frizzante, as here) and foaming/fully sparkling Prosecco (spumante.) The distinction between the latter two categories (2.5 versus 3 bars of pressure inside the bottles) goes largely unnoticed by most drinkers.
