Sales Information
Parcela #7 is a superb single vineyard blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, organically farmed and aged in French oak for 14 months prior to bottling.

Brick red and medium-bodied, the complex nose reveals redcurrant and blackberry notes with undertones of forest floor, hazelnut and herbs. The palate is rich and savoury, starting with sweet loganberry and tangy redcurrant followed by leather, cedar, dried meats and hints of truffle and black pepper, all supported by fine, supple tannins.
The Vineyard
Mauro von Siebenthal was a Swiss lawyer until, in 1998, he had an epiphany while visiting friends in Chile's Aconcagua Valley. Falling in love with the region and spotting the opportunity to buy a small bodega, Mauro set about establishing his first vineyard, the 30 acre Parcela #7, with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. By 2009, Mauro had given up life as a lawyer, fully relocated to Chile, and established Viña von Siebenthal with the building of a new state of the art winery. The boutique estate specialises in small production Bordeaux red blends, planting and blending according to the unique soil types within the four main vineyards currently owned.

Situated halfway between the Andes and the Pacific ocean, Panquehue is a very small sub-appellation of the Aconcagua Valley and one of the most prestigious areas in Chile for the production of Bordeaux varietals. The vineyards lie close to the Aconcagua river which helps to moderate the temperature in the dry mediterranean climate blessed by 320 days a year of clear sky.
