Tasting Notes
On the nose it is a riot of red flowers, dark petal flowers and slightly spicy notes and on the palate it is very fresh, with soft tannins and an excellent structure. Savoury and with a satisfying finish.
The blend is basically 90% Barbera and 10% Dolcetto, but co-planted throughout the vineyards there small amounts of Croatina, Freisa, Slarina, Brachetto, and Aleatico, which all make their way into this wine. Fermented and aged in concrete, this is a fresh wine, with crunchy red fruits, fine tannins and a savoury earthiness through the finish.
Vineyard
Fruit sourced from several parcels over 3 hectares are harvested for this wine. The vines were planted between 1955 and 1990.
