Tasting Notes
Medium bodied and dark cherry red in appearance, this is immediately recognisable and inviting as a modern-style Rioja. Ripe black fruits leap first from the glass — plum, blackberry, sloe — accompanied by balsamic tones, cocoa and vanilla from the wood. Fruity and slightly piquant on the open, tangy berry fruit is quickly softened by smooth, savoury tannins, well integrated and providing excellent structure and balance, harmonious on the finish with further hints of vanilla, leather and woodspice.
Rioja roble made exclusively from Tempranillo, aged for 6 months in American oak barrels.
Great with grilled meats, sausages or burgers, or serve with a good Irish cheeseboard and a sourdough loaf
